How to fix Popular Posts Gadget not displaying all thumbnails on blog spot:

1. download the image that is not showing thumbnail & remove it from the blog entry

2. rename it to something simple: like" a.jpg" or "b.png" etc...

3. re-upload it.

Thumbnail should be showing from this point, if not ... repeat the steps and try to converting non-jpg images to jpg.

Most problematic images for me are either png or images with weird long names.

3 things you must consider when buying an android phone

Options are good, but with all these smartphones out there it's gotta be confusing for first time smart phone buyers. Let me dumb down to 3 rules of thumb when you choose an android phone.

1. Performance: Don't take the face value of processor numbers. While it's nice to have multi-core 1.0+ GHZ super fancy name processor chip, it may not reflect your daily experience with the phone. It is highly recommended to actually go into stores and try it out. Try some basic tasks like scrolling around, typing, and opening browsers.

2. Brand: Brands will *almost always* determine the quality of the hardware build. It also will effect how good the post-purchase service is gonna be. HTC makes some great phones. Not only the devices are manufactured with high-end material, but also the customer service is pretty decent. Sometime ago, I had to repair my phone. The turn-around was quick. Samsung also makes pretty solid mobile devices, but investigate closely you'll find they have some cheap plastic materials.

3. Os version: It's bad enough for those smart phone owners who just purchased their phone, and only to find out a better phone just came out a couple days later. It's even worse if you get a phone that stucks at an old version of os. Some handset makers are so bad at this... YES I am looking at you Samsung & LG! ...Most android phones made by Samsung and LG phones are still in like 2.1 because they don't have enough incentive to push a software update. It's nice to have manufactures' customized UI and all. One would be lucky if he or she can obtain the os update within a few more month. Many still prefer stock google experience because we dont' get left out for android os updates. For example: the nexus one, and nexus s.

3 reasons why putting facebook button on smartphones = terrible mistake

1. It is FUGLY: the icon makes the entire interface look unbalanced. It looks awkward. Not only it doesn't look like it belongs there, it draws your eyes away from the rest of the beautiful hardware design. Android phones are already cluttered with 3 more functional buttons than iphones...Look at iphone, clean front face design. Look at us, we've got the htc logo. It's cool, it's cool. Just put mobile carrier's logo on the back... and that's it right? doh! facebook logo wants to join the party too!? shit! Way to go! Way to go! Way to make a nice and clean design that is appealing to consumers! DO NOT WANT!

2. Look at me! I am a facebook whore: facebook is addictive, and it is a great way to "check" what your friends are up to. I just can't imagine anyone wanting to walk around with these phone, and flashing them in front of new friends. It's like screaming to them, oh hey let's add each other on facebook, so I can stalk you 24/7.

3. Unnecessary user experience: We arguably have to move our thumb all the way down, click, and then move all the way back up to navigate around on the screen...

Privacy man! What if we hit the button by "accident" ... and shared something we didn't mean to share and then find out later. Let's say Bob went to a local strip club, and accidentally hit the facebook button. Oh!!! Now everyone from facebook know he's getting a lap dance. How embarrassing! Seriously, it doesn't take that much more effort to click on the facebook icon for the app in the interface, and manually update facebook ourselves.

Final word:
Look, HTC. All smart phones has facebook apps...If facebook button is necessary to convince "smart shoppers" that these are the phone have deep facebook intergeneration, please consider at least blend in the design a little? Or just put a big facebook icon in the sense UI?

Well I don't have data plan and my android phone didn't want to save the contacts...
Finally, fixed it after months :D

go to
1. Contact list
2. hit 'menu' for Display options
3. select your account@gmail.com
4. Uncheck "All Other Contacts" & Remove the sync group

That should do it.
It seem like many people who don't have data plan like me are having the same problem.

macbook Airpot inactive status and can't connect back onto the wifi??

son of a bitch! my macbook just decided to turn all internet connections off and not let me turn it back on.

Problem

no internet!!!
The wifi icon is blank
Airport status says "inactive" in Network Preferences
Airport can't be turn back on to active

At first I thought my wifi card fried or something. Now I suspect it's the system upgrade from APPLE that messed up the settings.

Solution

I have tried many different things and finally found one thing worked! I am writing this post the first thing I got my internet back. Anyway, let's fix it.

click on your Wifi icon
Open Network Preferences
select Airport
hit the "-" button below to remove it from the list
hit the "+" button to add it back to the list
click "Turn Airport On"
click "Apply"

Maxtor (Seagate) One Touch Plus not recognized in Windows 7?

after upgrading my pc to windows 7... i can seem to see my drive one touch plus...
and what's more fraustring is that Seagate doesn't seem to have the proper softer/drive for window 7 to go with this hardware....AND no fix on the internet seems to work ... i googled for a longggg time.

Here is MY Solution (work for me):

1. unplug usb and plus in again see if that worksl, if not got to #2

2. use an other computer which you can actually see the drive and copy the drivers and launcher files to a usb drive that works on your windows 7 machine. *In my case, I transfered the files on my mac book pro

3. copy the driver folder, and launcher files, bin folder ...everything to computer

4. plug in the One Touch Plus again, this time system should automatically install the drive and will be able to view the drive!

5. enjoy ;)

Update: Months ago I wrote this post because Verizon ran an ad pointing out how iphone donsn't "run simultaneous apps", and this is as one of Adroid's upper edge against iPhone. I was skeptical. I thought all Android phone may seem to be sluggish because the software is trying to do so much at the same time hogging the memory & causing the lag.... which I wans't 100% wrong. However, I'd rather have fewer apps active simultaneously than have lags when navigating though the UI. I wished there was a setting to in the os to limit app's memory usage.

I thought, One Android's strength is that it has customizable interfaces and widgets; however, many people are sacrificing these customizations for performance. (I know I did. The only "customization I did was changing the wall paper) "Why?" I thought. Widgets and UI theme replacement apps all eat up system resources... Unfortunately that makes android run slower :( As of then, Android users had to download some sort of Task manager app or App killer utility app form the Market, and manually kill processes to keep the phone running smoothly.

TasKiller is a free app available on Android Market. It lists out all active apps running in the background and allows you to force close them with just one touch.

TasKiller did work when then, during the cold winter nights...But frankly I don't have TaskKiller app anymore on my Nexus One. In face, I haven't had this app installed for months. After some OTA (over the air) updates. Recently, It seems like the UI is much more responsive than when I first got my Nexus One, but if you're still stuck at lower versions android, this can really help.

Noticed all these devices coming out with rocket specs? First it was Nexus One, then Droid, Evo, NexusS, and now the Thunderbolt are now rocking some crazy hardware - still the UI lags compare to ios & windows 7 mobile os.

Both apple and microsoft use GPU to render the user interface; whereas, android is letting CPU do all the work. This is why hardware vendors are pushing out multi-core processors. Why? Not just because we all want to run super 3D games on our phones, but because most users experience sluggish performances when they're just doing simple tasks like browsing the web.

While having great specs are great, it's all a waste if we don't take advantage of GPU. Many people on the forums are urging google to do so, but google's defense is that they've tried implementing GPU rendering in the past, but it didn't work out very well on some devices. Some suggest that why not just put in some sort of "switch" that allows GPU to handle all the User interface rendering if the hardware is capable of it?

Words on the streets is that android 3.0 honeycomb will come with GPU rendering. This may also soon come to 2.x cell phone versions soon. (possibily Ice Cream) I love android os, but I am not blind. All the high-end android phones are so under-performed against any ios devices ... just in terms of basic user experience.

Sony Ericsson Rachael

Sony Ericsson Rachael will be the next phone that rocks the Android community. Although it doesn't come with a QWERY keyboard like Motorola's Droid, it comes with gigantic 4" screen, blazing 1GHz CPU, and a whooping 8MP camera. I am a little skeptical about CPU, 1GHz... wouldn't that drain the battery like crazy? I sure hope it's got some innovative battery management or humongous battery capacity.

First impression

Sony's got a pretty nice product design team. Although it's disappointing that Rachael doesn't come with a hard keyboard, the exterior dsign of this phone still looks very sexy :)

Software & User Interface

It is rumored that Rachael will come with Android 1.5 ... which I HIGHLY doubt it. It doesn't make sense to ship out older version of firmware when the phone doesn't come out till maybe early 2010. It will be a big disappointment if it doesn't come with multi-touch. Sony better load Android 2.0 on it...

A few days ago someone released the UI for Sony's upcoming Android phone. I wanna give credit to the UI designer at Sony for the attempt to totally revamp the Android UI for Sony's phone.

However, I am not impressed ... quite frankly. The entire UI reminds me of some cheap old school Windows media player skins... no offense, but Sony can do way better.

PS3's UI is so well done that if he or she can just give Rachael some resemblance of the of Playstation, this UI would look so much more "Sony" :)

The first multi-media Android phone

Videos and music always played since the first debut of the G1, but HTC always has struggled with multimedia playback. Sony seems to be the first to get this right. Videos s& music will play rather smoothly on Rachael. It will rockkkkk!

Android 2.0 SDK update error

If you're get the following error when updating your SDK to 2.0 eclair....

"Failed to fetch URL https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml, reason: HTTPS SSL error. You might want to force download through HTTP in the settings."

In the SDK and AVD manager, go to Settings and check "force https:// ... sources to be fetched using http://..."

It's confirmed, it fixed the error for me. I am running Eclipse on Mac OSX.

iphone vs android battle

It doesn't have the Android chin! This is DROID, the "flagship" mobile device for Android platform. With the newest android os 2.0 Eclair installed, according to sources, it's FAST!

I've done quite some 1 on 1 comparison between this phone and other upcoming android devices. This is it. The best Android device. It seems to be the winner. The only competition it might have in the near future is the rumored Android device by Sony. It is the Ericsson Xperia X3 (Rachael) which doesn't come out till 2010 and is supposed to have aeven bigger screen, faster CPU, and even higher res camera!
(To be more specific, Sony Ericsson Rachael is rumored to have a huge 4" screen, blazing 1000MHz CPU, and whooping 8MPX camera!!)

Apple is prob like, "competition? FINALLY. It's getting lonely at the top!"

Aside from a more robust 2.0 (Eclair) Android os, it comes amazing 3.7" screen, multi-touch & my favorite part - a Hard keyboard! Also, people are excited about the google powered navigation app.

Verizon will be the phone carrier for this device. It seems like Verizon is using a "transformer" theme for their campaign along with some attack AD picking a fight with apple.

Verizon came out with the above ad suggesting their new Motorola phone "droid" will be the iphone killer saying thing like idont this and idont that. This seems to me more of an AD marketed toward geeks like me. An average phone user wouldn't care if a phone runs "multiple apps" or has "widgets"... or is "open source" ... LOL.

Although I do hear a lot of complains about AT&T's network being really crappy, and quite some iphone users already want to make the switch to Verizon, I am still not sure if this is a smart move by Verizon because negative ads may give iphone users more resistance to try other products... there are quite some apple fanboys out there. I am an apple product user myself ...I own both an ipod and a mac book ...BUT, I love my HTC magic android phone.

While they're kicking the crap out of each other, the most benefited out of this is us the consumers. We can just all sit back and laugh our ass off :D

Being an android phone user. I can tell you that the android platform is just coming out of it's infant stage. It's getting more robust, fast, and reliable. It did not even have multi-touch a few month ago because apple threatened everyone else with a lawsuit if one were to come out with a multi-touch phone it patented. What's funny is that Nokia did not take shit from apple and went ahead and sued apple for 10 fundamental mobile technology infringements. Back then android always had multi-touch, but just hid the multi-touch and kindda just let Nokia and Apple get anal at eachother.

To make a long story short, they found out Apple's multi-touch patent was not valid since Apple didn't really invent the technology and multi-touch was debuted way earlier by some other individuals. So now multi-touch functionality is on Android since 1.5 build The newer and even better Android 2.0 just came out this week. Soon there is gonna be an app boom on Android. Talking about apps, apps on android still need some work. We got very few quality apps on the platform, but then again it's such a new os. I am 500% sure once more and more Android phones come out, android will grab onto quite some market share in the mobile industry. This is already attracting many developers to make apps for Adroid :)

All in all, 2010 is gonna be a huge mobile + os war. On desktop os Windows 7 is coming really strong trying to win back the lock market shares. Ubuntu is also coming out with a new version... (although I kindda doubt Ubuntu is gonna last any longer... but hey they still got some market shares out there) On Notebook/laptop computer, google is looking to steal a piece of that pie with Chrome os. Not to mention, mobile devices Android is just about to step into maturity. And btw, Android is an os that can be installed on ANY device. That includes ebooks, hand held gps, TV, or any thing you can think of that needs an os. Oh WAIT did I say iphone vs android? let me correct that It is more like Apple v.s. everyone else.

google on the other hand knows how to create strategic alliances and how to be smart with patents. Sources say they're already working on porting the Chrome os onto a netbook for mass production, Barns & Noble also has an ebook coming out with a 'secret' partner... guess who that is? it's gotta be google. Who else has an os out there gaining popularity and is free and open sourced? :p

“Nook looks a lot like Amazon’s white plastic e-book reader, only instead of the chiclet-keyboard there is a color multitouch screen, to be used as a keyboard or to browse books, cover-flow style ... The $260 Nook ... is expected to be on sale at the end of November.”

It will be capable of connecting to internet thru AT&T. Interesting! Nook says it runs Google’s Android OS and will be able to get books from the Google Books Project... Android? Now, think about the possibilities :)

This doesn't mean it's not looking good for apple tho. Apple is coming out with a tablet device. It looks very interesting to geeks and artists ... like myself.

Will it be a game changer? I highly doubt it, but it'll be an awesome device to own. It can very well be an laptop replacement :) It's looks pretty thin, light weigh, easy to carry around in a bag... won't fit in a pocket. Now, if they can put some minority report type of apps on this thing, I might have to get one.

Destructive technology? It doesn't seem like there is anything new about this device except it's an enlarged itouch/iphone. Maybe it'll come with OSX. Not sure if I'd prefer typing on huge virtual keyboard either.

However, it'll definitely steal some netbook and netbook market shares. Major tablet maker Wacom may* see some lose in their revenues... unless ... wacom starts loading android on their devices! Well google's already working on a netbook, why not a tablet? /shrug.

HTC Hero rom on HTC magic

HTC released a new rom for HTC magic phones. I have been waiting to putting Android doughnut on my magic for so long!!

The installation was pretty straight forward, but HTC sync did not work properly so I actually had to go thru many forums finding the remedy and trying to fix it. It turns out the solution to fix unrecognizable HTC sync is to go into hardware manager in Windows and just reinstall the driver for your USB device. It kindda sux that HTC did not have software support for Mac OS. I am glad I have a spare laptop running XP :)

First impression, it's FAST. My Magic running Cupcake was a little sluggish and lags quite often. The new Doughnut build is VERY RESPONSIVE!! I am experiencing little to no lag at all.

It's got multi-touch!!! :D Freaking awesome

I love the new UI... to certain extent. I am a bit iffy about the large clock. I know I know... months ago I was all hyped up about. Now that I get a close look at it, it's alright. Not as awesome as I thought it would be. Just a gigantic clock taking up many blocks of space!!! I might be designing my own clock widgets again.

Another thing I noticed right away is the system color. System color like the 'stars' icon used to rating in Android and other 'buttons' changed from orange to green. I am not sure if I like this, but one thing that bug the crap out of me is that the 'stars' in market became hard to see visually. They are using a bright green for rated stars which pops out from the darkbackground and all, but the unrated stars are white. It sometimes become almost too hard to tell how many stars are there for the apps. This is such a bad move! Bring back the orange system color!!!

HTC included the sense UI and some really nice widgets like on off switch for mobile networks, bluetooth, wifi, and gps. I used to have to download these stuff from the Market. Although they didn't include ALL the cool quick setting widgets... like Tilt lock, Pattern on/off, it's still pretty cool that they have some nice widgets there comes right out of box.

One thing that sucks about this update tho is losing all the apps I downloaded. I used to have a Tip calculator app that i got for free. Now it requires donation!? wtf! Well there are many other versions out there, but Tipper is the best app out there.

What else is cool? well plenty! There is a social network organizer thing built-in so you can access our facebook, twitter, flickr easily.

Best thing about this build? is probably the 3 extra pages to throw your in your widgets :) We now have 6 total pages to add our fav apps and widgets in! wheeeeeeeee

Disappointments

I lost all my apps and one was free when I first downloaded it (Tipper) now I gotta pay for it :( I said I gotta because now I need that app everyday. It's the best app out there.

FireFox running slow like FireTurtle?

Firefox gets sluggish over a period of usage. Mine got so bad that I wanna punch somebody in the face.

If you’re on dial-up then forget this post, but if you have broadband, Firefox pages runs faster by allowing multiple connections so it can download more than one file at a time.

Do the following:

1.Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:
network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:
Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”
Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”
Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0" This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. If you have slower connection, it is suggested to set this value to "250"

Months ago I went to a GTUG meetup in S.D. we talked about awesome google APIs, Chrome, Android, code, and the newest and coolest thing called the Google wave. Now I didn't not get a chance to test it until recently my buddy Will threw me an invite.

Wave is like email... but made simpler. Imagine you're able to see email in threads. It all makes perfect sense!

Now I've been on it almost everyday for work. I've got 2 waves going on almost all the time. I must say I love this thing. It is the best innovation from google imo. Only thing bug the crap out of me is the file upload in Chrome.

Ok I am using Mac OSX... this COULD be the reason why it's having issues, but com'on google! It's your own site and your own browser! So I am stuck with Firefox when it comes to uploads. Unfortunately my Firefox is being a little laggy lately. It really sux :(

My Mac is running OS X, and it has been getting slower everyday. I had been ignoring it - until now - because it's gotten so @#$%ing slow it's pissing me off.

Got the same speed problem?

You're probably like me. You turn off your Mac every night before off to sleep - and this is the problem. Let me explain why:

Mac is designed to run periodic maintenance tasks to get rid of unused logs and cache files. It also backs up some UNIX files.

However, these maintenance tasks were programmed to run at night, at 3, 4, or 5 AM, depending on what they do. That is, unless your computer is turned off or asleep.

1. Open your Terminal ( Go/Utilities/Terminal )

2. Type :
sudo periodic daily <---- This runs maintenance task that is scheduled daily
sudo periodic weekly <---- This runs maintenance task that is scheduled weekly
sudo periodic monthly <---- This runs maintenance task that is scheduled monthly

enter your admin password when asked, and wait patiently until it's finished.

bam! your Mac is just as fast as when you first got it! :D

The busy crowd brings in end-less business opportunities and cash flow to the well-known night market in Chiayi, Taiwan. Across from the cultral park, sits a unique mom & pop meatball shop - A beautiful girl is serving Taiwanese meatballs. Due to the girl's sweet smile, and friendly service, the business is outragiously busy.

Born in 1984, Chiu Yu-Ting went back home after graduating from college to help her parent's meatball shop. Her charm has braught in tons of male customers. Because of her beauty and sweet appearance, she has won a title of the "Meatball-Beauty" ... honored by the customers.

As the only daughter at home, Yu-Ting Chiu has gave up moving to the city, and chose to return to her hometown of Chiayi City to give her parents a hand with the family business. The young Meatball-Beauty doesn't seem to mind the grease & oil, and became quite famous in Taiwanese snacks industry.

This is my review of the HTC magic:

Size: 10/10
HTC magic's got a nice slim body and just about right screen size. It is certainly much smaller than G1, because it doesn't have the hard keyboard. It doesn't feel bulky & fits perfectly in my pocket. The HTC magic handles pretty nicely in hand.

Design & Feature:9/10
I love the bar soap looking design. My previous phone is HTC touch, which is very much identical to the Magic, except the chin and the trackball. When I first got the phone I was a little skeptical about the chin that sticks out, but after a few weeks of usage - I actually love how it gives me a false sense of closeness to the mic. The track ball is satisfactory, although I rarely use it because I manage to do most of the navigation with just touch screen. The only time I have to use track ball is when I make a typo. It is impossible to precisely jump your courser in between the alphabets. Making a spelling error can be a pain in the neck on this phone... unless you either have super tiny finger or you're really good with the track ball. This is when I really missed the pen from HTC touch. Many complain about not having 3.5mm audio Jack support, but it doesn't seem to be a problem for me. I don't really listen to music on my phone

Performance: 6/10
Although the sensitivity on the Magic is not as responsive as iphone, it is still pretty satisfactory over all. It is ofcourse a major upgrade for me, from my HTC touch. The speed is generally fast, but I experienced tiny bit of lagging with multiple apps open. G1's hard-keyboard is nice, but something has to give. It took a few days to really get used to typing on the Magic, but eventually I can actually type fast on it. Landscape typing layout sounds nice, but the time it takes switching to landscape layout takes longer than one may expect. Battery hours is also a small concern, but all smart phones seem to drain batter like water.

Software: 7/10
I am surprised that I'd saying this myself, but I am not too impressed with the apps & user interface came right out of the box. I guess there was an "over-expectation" from myself since I had been waiting for this phone for a long time. Plus I can't help to keep comparing it to iphone. It is unfair, I know, because iPhone has been out for so long. When browsing the web, it was disappointing to not being able to view Flash (Except Youtube) the zoom in/out function is also pretty inconvenient to use (no multitouch) There is alot to like about the Android software tho. The fact it's open source, it's got constant contact sync with google so you don't need to worry about losing phone numbers when you lose your phone or break your phoone, it's got this cool pattern screen lock, widget support, cool digital compass, thousands of free apps, new officail firmware will be released constantly to keep your phone updated. Android market does have TONS of potential, but it needs a major upgrade in-terms of helping consumers browse thru the apps. In addition, there are way too many low quality apps flowing on the Android market. It is almost frustrating to download a highly reviewed piece of crap that has terrible U.I. and doesn't work well. The current Android build, Cupcake, on the Magic does not support flash...And it doesn't have multi-touch... but this is all gonna change! I can't wait till the Doughnut becomes

The Final verdict: 8 /10

I love my HTC magic, it is probably one of best phones I've ever owned. It is a significant upgrade from HTC Touch for me. When I got this phone, I knew I had to give up G1's hard keyboard for Magic's agile body dimension. What I didn't expect is the minor lag issue when more apps are open. I also did like the proportion of quality apps available on the Android market. Over all I am very satisfied with the phone, I can't wait to download the next Android firm-war.

Many are disappointed at Android for not having the multitouch functionality on the platform. Some even hacked the OS just to getmutitouch working on his Android phone. Now with HTC Hero's demo release, it is confirmed that HTC Hero, the 3rd Androi phone installed with next Android update code name Doughnut will come with multitouch!

google can no longer hold off the massive multitouch demand?

Flash and multi-touch on Android Doughnut!
Just when I thought I'd never ever see multi-touch on my phone, I came across Adrian Ludwig's video (from Adobe), introducing flash on HTC hero. Look at 0:28, he did an iPhone like pinch gesture that gives zoom in/out command to Andoird. This isn't even available on Cupcake.

"According to some online sources, G1 and G2 ( htc Magic) don't have multi-touch support, and will never hace multi-touch due to some conspiracy theories."

Apparently Apple has patented the multi-touch for its iPhones, and threatened to sue google. Multiple-sources claim that there are legal battles firing off bettwen Appl and Palm, and Apple has also warned google not to make multi-touch available on Android phones, and so google backed off; However it seems like multi-touch still made it way into the next android release.

While Apple may have multiple patents and patents pending, Apple can't really prove it's the original inventor of multitouch.

Section 101 of Title 35 U.S.C. sets out the subject matter that can be patented:

"Whoever invents or discovers any new and useful process, machine, manufacture, or composition of matter, or any new and useful improvement thereof, may obtain a patent therefor, subject to the conditions and requirements of this title."

In deed, multitouch is invented way before Apple's patent, even before Jeff Han, making Apple's patent invalid. Patent regulation is now being re-adjusted, vetting process of patents has gotten more strict than previous years. No longer will the patents be handed out like hot cakes. Come to think about it Google is smart for holding back including multitouch in first 2 Android releases. It saved google alot of time & money for these legal battles. google was probably thinking, "Let's watch Apple & Palm kick the crap out of each other!" Hello multitouch :)

HTC has started creeping into a more hip, trendy, and young market compared to HTC Magic, which was targeted more at the young professionals. I'd love to see more iPhone competitions.

#1 HTC User Interface widget / theme for Android
I am surprise that developers have not stolen the beautiful UI of HTC Diamond (see pic below) and port it to Android platform. I don't know what it is about these HTC designs, the gigantic ditigal clocks... oh my I would totally pay for it. Okay fine, you might argue somepeople put a Hero theme on both Openhome and aHome. All I can say is, Well, it's NICE. I downloaded it, it didn't impress me, uninstalled, and returned. What I really want is a slick design like Diamond or Touch.

Project Young Illidan part 1

His name is Illidan Stormrage.

Why This Project?

To many World of Warcraft players, he is just another raid boss that drops nice loots at BlackTemple; however, there is much more, a dynamic story... a love story.... that are unknown to perhaps millions of those who played WoW. My intention is to bring out that side of Illidan with my drawings and illistraions.

Character background & study

Before he turned demon, Illidan was another young Night Elf who studied magic and was mad in love with another Elf sorcer Tyrande... however, Illidan's twin brother also fell in love with wit her.

Illidan is the fraternal twin of Malfurion Stormrage and, like his brother, grew up as the friend of Tyrande Whisperwind millennia before the Great Sundering. Unlike Malfurion, Illidan had no patience for the subtleties of druidism and proved to be a poor student despite their teacher, the demigod Cenarius.

Yet Illidan was talented at sorcery, which at the time was a staple of night elf society. His magical abilities were cold comfort, though, for he had been born with golden eyes, which were quite rare in night elves before the Sundering. Golden eyes were thus commonly regarded as a sign of future greatness, but Illidan showed no signs of achieving anything out of the ordinary. Little did Illidan know that his eyes actually indicated strong druidic potential.

Illidan had strong feelings for Tyrande Whisperwind, a novice priestess in the Sisters of Elune. Illidan so desired to impress Tyrande that he often acted without thinking, particularly in magic; he never realized that these displays weren't quite what the priestess was looking for in a mate. But while Illidan struggled to win her heart, none of them realized that the battle was over soon after it had begun; Tyrande had chosen Malfurion almost from the beginning.

Fascinated with arcane magic, he learned increasingly difficult spells, but to his discouragement, the Moon Guard did not offer him membership in light of his advanced sorcery. Nevertheless, Illidan remained determined to become the hero his people expected him to be.

Soon he found another compelling reason to achieve greatness. One day during a festival, he caught sight of Tyrande dancing in the crowd and realized that he loved her. At some point over the years, he had fallen in love with her kindness, her laughter, her beauty, and her faith.

His joy was dimmed only by the fact that Malfurion, too, had feelings for Tyrande, although Malfurion was slower than Illidan to recognize them. Illidan could see that Tyrande would inevitably choose either Malfurion or Illidan as her mate. It was simply a matter of which twin would prove worthy in her eyes.

It was a modified 2007 GMC C4500 4x4 Crew Cab TopKick Edition, andyes, they are being manufactured!
